"I know that in 2016, Mater Research established a Gender Equity Working Group to support equality and objectives, advocating for gender equity in the workplace. I understand that the initiatives of this group include supporting pregnant women or women returning to work after pregnancy by providing breastfeeding rooms, providing flexible working arrangements to help manage work and family, and promoting STEM programs amongst females in high schools. I am really impressed by the gender equity initiatives at Mater Private Healthcare and would love to be a part of an organisation that values women in the workplace."

"I understand that Mater Research is very focused on helping women progress in their careers at Mater Private Healthcare. In 2017, Mater Research introduced the Strategic Grant for Outstanding Women to support the research and career progression of high-potential female biomedical and clinical researchers at Mater Research. I was really impressed when I read that there is a formal mentoring program, which allows senior female academics to mentor female early-career researchers over a 12-month period. As part of the program, training is given to both mentors and mentees to ensure both parties reap the short-term and long-term benefits of being part of a formal mentoring relationship. I would love to be part of an organisation that truly promotes gender equity in the workplace."
