"Most recently, I worked on a team applying long-read sequencing technologies to cancer genomes. Long-read third-generation sequencing technologies mark a significant improvement in our ability to address issues and better understand tumour biology. "I attained my PhD from The University of Queensland in 2010. In my previous role, I work in neurology, trying to understand the neurobiological mechanisms that drive healthy brain function and to inform the development of sustained and effective treatments for neurodevelopmental, neurological, and neuropsychiatric disorders. I'm most proud of the fact that I've published 10 research papers and secured 500,000 in research funding."
