I would rate myself an 8. For example, I was tasked with the cross-collaboration project and I made sure to schedule regular meetings with the team to provide updates on the project and make sure it was on track for completion. If any members brought up conflicts, I would have a 1-1 meeting with the member to address their concerns and clarify any messaging.

Nice! A rating of 8 is great because it conveys confidence in your ability to communicate but an openness to improving. Your example is also strong; the interviewer will appreciate your mention of regular team meetings and private meetings whenever conflict arose. To strengthen your answer further, consider rating yourself in other areas of communication as well, including nonverbal, presentation skills, listening, and so on. Great job!
