Home Bargains, like many other retailers, is a fast-paced, constantly-changing environment. It's not for those who enjoy the same routine day-in and day-out. We want each of our employees to be happy and enthusiastic about their work here, so the interviewer will want to know what kind of work environment hasn't been a good fit for you in the past.

"For a number of years, I was working in an office setting: I stayed in my cubicle for 8 hours a day and rarely saw other people. After a while, I couldn't take it anymore, which is why I transitioned into the retail industry. I don't enjoy mundanity; I like every day to feel fresh, new, and exciting in an environment where I'm surrounded by people and lots of active things to do."

For me a fast pace is often best, keeping busy myself while delegating and following up with others. I am more suited to nonrepetitive and varied tasks, that's why I've always done well in retail.
I personally like to be in a fun and positive environment at work so I like to ensure that that happens also, happy people work harder and to a better standard: Happy bees make sweeter honey!!
