"Having worked with a team that contracted for Fannie Mae, I'm familiar with the work that you do at the Federal National Mortgage Association. I, of course, know that Fannie Mae was born out of the New Deal and that you continue to ensure the availability of the 30-year fixed mortgage, which to this day dominates the housing industry. The majority of Fannie Mae's work since the 20th century revolves around creating liquidity and making homeownership more accessible to more people.
