When trying to identify growth opportunities in the workplace, you want to communicate respect for the chain of command and an in-depth understanding of why things operate as they do before suggesting any change. It's also worth exploring if your idea has been suggested before. This suggests a high EQ, enhanced communication skills, and leadership potential. The aim is to show how you professionally support the big picture of your team at all times in every way.

In 2019, I was working as a cashier at the _____ Trucking Museum for the summer. I would assist customers, teach them about some of the trucks' histories, and clean the trucks. While cleaning the trucks, I noticed a lot of customers would pull down the chains and climb over them to touch the trucks even after us telling them not to touch the trucks. I suggested to my boss that we needed a new barricade. Because of my suggestion, I got to help install the new fence, which made it more difficult for the customers to touch the trucks.
