"Throughout my career to this point, I've been open to training and learning new skills on the job that have helped me improve. Over the last four years, I've obtained a Class A CDL and worked hard to do that. I've also taken several online courses in the transportation of hazardous materials and was open to doing this for my employer. If I'm fortunate enough to join your team as a water treatment operator, I fully understand the importance of both initial on-the-job training and staying up to speed on new things. If you've spent time working as a water treatment operator in the past, clearly lay out all of the on-the-job training, online coursework, and certifications you've gone through to give your interviewer a sense of the dedication you will put into new training you will be expected to participate in if hired. If you do not have any direct experience, there is no need to fret. Just be sure to think about any training you've received on machines, equipment, or processes that you feel will be beneficial. No matter how you answer, be sure to let your interviewer know that you are open and willing to learn any new things if you are given the opportunity.
