"Yes, you can manually edit the BOOT.INI file. However, before doing this, you should save a copy of the original file in case there is a problem. The process used to edit the file is to first open the control panel and select the 'System' option. You then open the 'Advanced' tab in the 'Properties' window. In the 'Startup and Recovery option are the settings. You then select the edit option for editing BOOT.INI. Once you have finished editing the file, you save and close it.
