What are your salary expectations?

"I'm currently making 65K per year. I would love to hear what the starting salary is for this position."

This can be a tricky question if it comes up. It is best to avoid this topic unless it comes up by the interviewer. Turn the tables and allow the interviewer to answer this question for you. If the interview turns awkward, move on and allow the interviewer to ask a new question.

"I'd rather not commit to that quite yet. However, I'm sure you are consistent with the market, and I would love to hear the starting salary for this position."
