Christina Erne is a meteorologist and a journalist at News 10, Albany's ABC/FOX affiliate.
Every day in the news industry can be different. One day, there can be many stories to cover and the reporter must choose one or two, and the next, there may be very limited stories to choose from. The candidate should discuss with the hiring manager how they decide which stories are most important to cover. The candidate can talk about the types of stories that matter most to the public, including breaking sports news like game scores and championship results. They must also discuss how they prioritize athlete injuries, and other soft news.
Ultimately, the candidate should show that they understand that breaking sports news should always be covered before lighter stories, and that the types of stories that the community cares about most should be prioritized.

"Each day, I will pitch stories that are the most time-sensitive and recent. Once those are covered, I like to cover stories that are of the most interest to the public, such as a local favorite athlete or a feel-good story."
