Remaining calm and level headed are of utmost necessity when someone has called in an emergency. I believe that the most essential quality of a dispatcher is the ability to listen and remain calm. Being able to stay level-headed through an emergency situation and continue to listen is essential. I possess both of these skills as they are ingrained in who I am, but am always looking to develop other skills as well.
