Building a solid pool, collecting a diverse assortment of resumes and not getting stuck in a specific "type" of candidate. Developing questions for phone screening/interview that are effective and out of the box that will delve into their behavior and their specific experience to paint a clear picture of the applicant's abilities. Lastly, it is SO important to be charismatic, kind, compassionate, and overall helpful. The process isn't easy for everyone, and you want candidates to feel they can trust you and come to you with questions or concerns. Moreover, you are the face of a brand! You must represent your brand very well.
