The interviewer wants to hear what motivated you to become an orthopedic technician. It may be that you have a professor or guidance counselor who suggested this career, a friend or family member in the field, a job fair or career day you attended, or you may have been exposed to this field by an interaction you had with an orthopedic technician. Describe how you chose to pursue a career as an orthopedic technician.

"I chose to pursue a career as an orthopedic technician after attending a job fair at my high school. I was interested in pursuing a career in the medical field but wasn't sure what I wanted to do. An orthopedic group had a booth set up, and I discovered what a great career this could be. I like that I can start working right out of high school and gain experience and on-the-job training that will go towards becoming certified."
