I have wanted to obtain a managerial position in the news because I can bring a lot to the table. A strong journalist with a wide-ranging perspective on what newsrooms should be doing as we look to diversify our storytelling and be more inclusive and reflective of the community we serve. There are very few visible minority managers in newsrooms across Canada, and I can help inspire more diversity in senior ranks in journalism.
