As a Marketing Assistant, you may be required to make presentations to teams and groups of decision makers. For instance, in year-end strategy briefings, you may be given a turn to talk with the marketing department heads regarding projects you supported throughout the year. Talk to the interviewer about your presentation skills and outline any direct experiences you have had with a public speaking or presenting to groups, large or small.

"In my position with Company XYZ, I open our quarterly meetings by introducing the marketing team and setting the stage for the meeting agenda. There are generally 50 team members and leaders present in these meetings. Throughout the meeting, I help manage time by fielding questions from the attendees. Then, I wrap up the meeting. Although I may not be presenting the content specifically, I work hard to guide the meeting and set our presenters up for success. I took a public speaking course in college, which was very helpful in boosting my confidence while addressing groups of people."
