However, as an information security analyst, your job is to maintain current knowledge about all of these topics. You should have a specific strategy for doing this and be able to describe it to the interviewer.

I do this by subscribing to several newsletters and blogs, attending industry events and meeting with software and hardware vendors, maintaining memberships in several local user groups relevant to the work I do, and frequently meeting with my peers to discuss the threats they are aware of and techniques they use to counter them."
