Would you consider yourself more creative, or technical minded?
Disclosing if you feel more technical or creative-minded can help the hiring manager to better understand how you work and the type of projects you may be most efficient in. Discuss a few examples of how you have developed either your creative or technical skills and aptitude.
"I would consider myself to be more technical minded when it comes to my drafting projects. I am very much into calculations and logistics rather than the creative side of CAD. Of course, being creative-minded is very helpful in my role as a CAD drafter but I feel that it's the technical side of me that really carries me successfully from project to project."
In most job interviews, candidates will be asked to describe their assets, strengths, and/or weaknesses. Interviewers are looking for you to describe assets that reflect the requirements of the role you're interviewing for. Be sure to highlight the skills that are listed in the job description.
