In your opinion, why is laboratory safety and following lab practices important?

Think back to the safety training you had in school while earning your degree. If you have had prior work experience in the scientific field, recall the standard laboratory practices and procedures and safety training and protocols that were required. Talk about why you feel these safety protocols are so important while working in the laboratory and why standard lab practices are necessary. It is a good idea to discuss the consequences of not following safety requirements and standard lab procedures.
