Tell us about a time that you had multiple tasks to complete. How did you prioritize your work?
The interviewer is asking this question to determine if you can multitask or if you overwhelm easily. The interviewer wants to hear that you can complete quality work under pressure and that if unexpected tasks are delegated to you, you can reprioritize and complete your assigned work without being easily overwhelmed. Provide an example of a time you were given multiple assignments to work on. Tell the interviewer how you decided which task to prioritize.
"In my current role, we tend to get much busier in the spring. This past spring our company implemented a 72 hour turnaround time on routine testing. Normally, that would not have been a problem, however, since it was our busy season, we were already slightly behind on testing. I was successfully able to switch priorities as needed so that I could keep up with an increase in testing requests as well as perform all standard testing within 72 hours."
