"In a previous role, I was working for a company that was a bit old school and used paper documentation for everything. Our department was spending a good amount of money on paper and to me, it just did not align with what the company stood for which was sustainability. I spoke with my management team at a department meeting one day and told them that I did not feel it demonstrated the company mission and their core values to use so much paper and that by having electronic documentation, we would cut back on paper usage as well as keep more organized. To my surprise, they agreed and we ended up getting scanners to scan all of our previous documents into electronic files and we used electronic filing moving forward."
