Can you define DDMS and discuss its use?

The Dalvik Virtual Machine, or DVM, is a Runtime Environment developed specifically for mobile devices. It was replaced with the Android Virtual Machine or AVM in Android version 5.0 (Lollipop). However, if you still need to be familiar with DVM and the tools associated with it. Organizations still use legacy versions of Android, and you will expect you to be capable of working with them. The interviewer expects you to define DDMS and discuss its features.

"DDMS, or Dalvik Debug Monitor Server, is a debugging tool used when working with the Dalvik Virtual Machine or DVM in the Android platform. It is similar to some of the more common debugging tools used on other platforms. The tool contains several different features you can use when debugging code in DVM. Some of these include:

Logcat
Process
Port-Forwarding Services
Radio State Information
And If Screen Capture
Thread & Heap Information
Incoming Call & SMS Spoofing
Location Data Spoofing"
