By understanding your areas of interest, the interviewers will more accurately predict which courses you'll likely thrive in at Yale University School Of Medicine. Your answer will help them determine how you'll fit into their student population and culture. Talk about where your interests currently lie, what fields of medicine you'd prefer to work in, and where your strengths and weaknesses lie. At the same time, try not to isolate your interests entirely in one realm. The last thing you want to do is communicate you are inflexible and have trouble adapting.

"At this point in my studies, I am most interested in Pediatrics as I am passionate about helping children. I bring the compassion required for that area of medicine. Also, most of my volunteer experience has been around children's issues. The area of medicine that I find to be my least favorite so far is Pathology. I have not excelled in bio-science; however, I have hired a tutor to ensure my grades remain above average regardless of my natural interest."
