"Touro is an osteopathic medical school with two campuses - one in the heart of urban Harlem and one in rural Middletown, NY. The school is committed to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in medicine and training osteopathic physicians to practice medicine in underserved communities. This mission is incredibly important to me and one of the reasons I applied. I visited the campus in Middletown last year and greatly enjoyed the feel of the campus. I also understand that the school boasts state-of-the-art labs, another competitive advantage of TouroCOM. In addition to these impressive factors, TouroCOM has excellent COMLEX pass and match rates. In 2021 TouroCOM Harlem scored #1 in the US among Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine on the First Pass Rate of COMLEX-USA Level 1, which is an incredible accomplishment! Overall, I genuinely appreciate the effort that TouroCOM puts out when it comes to residencies and placements for its medical school graduates. It is undeniable that this school goes beyond the general expectations of a university to ensure the success of its students and graduates."
