"I find inspiration in a variety of people and things. I would have to say that the person who has most greatly inspired me has been my father. He is a first-generation American and the first in his family to pursue post-secondary education. He became a teacher who always worked hard, keeping a positive attitude, no matter how challenging life was for him. He supported his family and sent money home to his family to help support them and ensure they were taken care of. My father was a well-respected educator, and he is the person who taught me the importance of pursuing post-secondary education."
