The admissions team at TouroCOM wants to know that you plan to make a positive and lasting impact on the medical profession after you graduate from med school. To ensure a memorable response, be as specific as possible about the impact you desire to make as a medical professional.
Perhaps you desire to work with a particular population or community. Maybe your vow as a physician is to encourage your patients to be diligent about their whole-person health. Whichever way you respond, be sure to exude genuine passion and enthusiasm when talking about how you plan to improve the medical profession and use your skills and knowledge for the greater good.

"One of the reasons I wish to attend TouroCOM is because of the school's commitment to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in medicine and train osteopathic physicians to practice medicine in underserved communities. I chose to become a medical professional because of the broad impact I can make on my patients, their families, and my underserved community. As a practitioner, I will improve the profession by bringing whole-health knowledge and mindset to my patients. When my patients feel motivated and empowered to take control of their entire health, it will create a ripple effect on other aspects of their lives, including their family members' well-being. This ripple will help create greater respect for general health care, improve public views of our profession, and increase how often patients visit their GP for regular checkups."
