Do you think that medical students who receive federal funds should spend time practicing medicine in a less desired area as a way to give something in return?

"Since there is a significant shortage of physicians in rural areas, students receiving federal assistance should do their part by practicing in these areas for a certain amount of time. This practice should occur in full transparency, however. For instance, the loan must be offered and accepted with the understanding that the recipient would work with underserved communities upon graduating. That said, there should be exceptions for rare specializations or medical students with highly unique or in-demand skills."
