Inspiration is more than an ideal or an idea. Inspiration is something external that motivates you to achieve something you wouldn't have aspired to otherwise. So, your life's inspiration or mentor is someone who has motivated you to pursue or achieve something in a way that expands your nature and your aspirations. Your figure of inspiration can be fictional or real - someone related to you, a friend, an educator, or anyone. What matters is less so who they are and more so what they reveal about you as a person. Talk to the interviewers about who has inspired your life, goals, and career and why this figure impacted you the way they have.

"I find inspiration in a variety of people and things. I would have to say that the person who has most greatly inspired me has been my grandmother. She always had a smile on her face no matter how hard she worked, and she loved everyone. She was well respected and always gave more than she received. I try to live like her as much as I can."
