"I believe an honorable person will do what is right even when nobody is looking. The medical industry deserves only honorable graduates. If I discovered a classmate cheating, I would privately speak with them and tell them what I saw. I would give them an opportunity to tell the professor and explain that if they didn't notify the professor, I would have to tell them myself."
The interview panel wants to see that you have integrity, problem-solving and communication skills, and the maturity to handle situations like this with poise. While some applicants might immediately say they would report their classmate, it is best to show you can give your classmate the benefit of the doubt and approach them first. Then, if it was discovered the classmate was cheating, you should provide them with the opportunity to report themselves before you do so.
