Many pharma professionals are having a conversation about the 'COVIDfied future' of pharmaceuticals. Not to mention the impact it's had on an already strained healthcare industry, educators, and universities closing early during the pandemic, and how that created a brief gap in the next generation of pharma professionals.
From dispensing COVID-19 antivirals to distributing and administering vaccines to the wide range of medical breakthroughs that resulted from the worldwide effort to create a COVID-19 vaccine, the impact on pharma is wide-ranging. Share your knowledge on these, and ensure any opinions and insights you offer are grounded and based on facts. You want to make sure you come across as educated and informed.

"COVID-19 and other pandemics have left a significant impact on the pharmaceutical profession, including how we provide medications to patients, the increased demand for particular medications, the risk put on support staff, and a gap in PPE supply and demand. One significant impact that has interested me most is how we dispense medications, ranking particular meds based on importance. During COVID-19, pharmacists have experienced detrimental drug shortages due to manufacturing and transportation challenges. In the future, I believe pharmacists will have to revisit their distribution model and how they approach collaborating with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. I look forward to learning about the long-term impact as I dive deeper into the pharmaceutical profession."
