They want to see whether you are resourceful and capable of thinking outside the box when the need arises. With the example you offer, turn your failures into success. Focus on the positives. If you grew from the experience and had positive takeaways, such as analytically examining what went wrong, and learning what you can do next time to succeed, then the glass is half full of silver linings. Attitude is everything. Every pharmacy student is expected to face academic challenges. Discuss your approach to meeting challenges and how this approach has benefitted you in the past.
"When I have encountered academic difficulty in the past, I have recognized the issue early and approached my professor for additional information or study resources. With these resources, I would either increase the time spent reviewing the class material or engage another person to increase my understanding of the topic.
