How would you handle a rude customer?

When you work on a cruise ship, everything you do is customer service based. You will often come across rude individuals, which is inevitable, in the customer service game, unfortunately. The interviewer wants to know that you can handle such a situation with professionalism. Give an example of a time that you had to deal with a challenging customer situation.
