"Ten years ago, I obtained my bachelor's degree in biology and started my career in lab research at that time. Four years ago, I decided to go back to school for my MBA with a project management concentration from Penn State University. At that time, I wanted to pursue leadership positions in project management involving the development and bringing to market new and innovative drugs. Some of the classes from my MBA program that I feel would be very helpful in this role at Novo Nordisk would be my Project Management course, the Cost and Value Management course, and the Corporate Strategy course. During my time in this program, I learned tactics and techniques for the overall management of projects, how to control costs, and ensure that projects meet overall business goals. I know that this role will have many administrative tasks that I will be able to jump into from day one. Additionally, helping to drive innovation at Novo Nordisk was something I can say was always instilled in me by my education."
