When an interviewer asks how you are qualified for the position, it's important to be prepared to provide specific examples and experiences that demonstrate your relevant skills and expertise. This is your opportunity to showcase your strengths and highlight how your background aligns with the job requirements. Review the job description before the interview and identify the essential responsibilities and qualifications. Then, during the interview, you can reference those points and explain how your skills and experience make you a strong fit for the role. It's also important to be confident and concise in your response while avoiding exaggeration or misrepresentation of your abilities. Being prepared and articulate can help you stand out as a strong candidate.

"I am qualified for the position as I meet your general and preferred requirements for the role and have worked in the healthcare industry for 16 years. I started as a volunteer patient greeter, visiting patients and assisting hospital personnel with whatever they needed. After graduating high school, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and have worked as a nurse for 12 years at small and large hospitals. My specialty is working in the emergency department, but I have also worked in the ICU and Labor and Delivery. Currently, I am taking online courses to obtain my Master's Degree in Nursing and look forward to working in an administrative position with your hospital in the next five years."
