"I think back to a project my team was working on a couple of years ago with a big, high-profile client. We were nearing the end stages of planning and about to go into the development stages when our main contact with the client suddenly left the company. Within days, someone new from the client was put on the project and they had a much different idea for the final product and its eventual release. Upon initially finding this out in a phone call, many on my project team were distraught because of all the potential rework that may need to be done. Lost time is lost money and that was not a road we wanted to go down. In the coming days, I invited the new contact to a two-hour virtual meeting with my team so we could share in-depth about all of the planning, research, and work that had been done so far and we were able to let them see that this project was headed in the right direction. Looking back, this took a little bit of unconventional thinking that I would love to bring to work as an IQVIAN."
