"As a Major Gifts Officer with a nationwide nonprofit, I solicit gifts over one million dollars from individuals and corporations. When handling such large gifts, there are important steps to be taken to ensure appropriate stewardship of that funding. With each major gift, I bring in our Director of Accounting to transparently communicate the process of transferring the funds. With the assistance of program directors, I can delineate exactly how that funding will be used to advance our programs. This transparency garners trust from our donors and helps maintain our organizational reputation of integrity."
