Do you feel performance should be rewarded over experience?

"On one hand, employees with longer tenure often have greater institutional knowledge, and that is invaluable in terms of mentoring new employees and discussing the future direction of the organization. Their dedication should be rewarded. On the other hand, long tenure ought to be accompanied by strong work performance. I don't think one should be prioritized over the other. I think they are both equally important and ought to be acknowledged as such in terms of compensation."

"Strong work ethic results in higher-quality deliverables, and an employee's efforts to perform their duties wholly and with excellence should yield appropriate acknowledgment. When an employee feels like their work is respected and rewarded, they will work with even greater dedication, which will very likely lead to them serving longer tenures with the organization. As a result, I believe performance is a necessary precursor to experience."
