Data validation can quickly be summed up as 'garbage in equals garbage out.' In essence, any good data analyst needs to ensure that the data they use is functional and relevant to what is being measured so be sure to reiterate that to your interview. Then, explain the ways that you have gone about validating data in the project work that you've done throughout your career. "Thoroughness in data analysis is extremely important and an important piece in being as detailed as possible is data validation. My customers are reliant on the fact that data I provide is accurate and a true representation of what we are measuring.
