The best way to answer this question is to refer to your past performance. You might want to bring in a written performance review where your current boss mentions how reliable you are. You can offer up your references, or talk about a time your supervisor or co-workers complimented you on your work ethic.

"I have worked in the banking industry for twelve years without a discrepancy in my work. I believe this good work is due to my keen attention to detail, and the fact that I am honest enough to own up to an error I make in the workplace. When you call my references, they will attest to the fact that I am reliable and honest."

This is a great description of me. I work in a fast-paced environment and I need to be very concentrated throughout the day. We have specific procedures in place on how to serve a customer with accuracies such as taking the cash first, leaving the payment to the side, and giving back the change and the receipt. This cancels out the events of any discrepancy. I pride myself on my honesty. Many customers are so rushed in the shopping they often leave without change and are not concentrated I would always call them to come back and they would thank me for being so honest. This is just a human instinct for me but it means a lot to customers.

This question would be best answered in the STAR format. STAR stands for situation, task, action, result. By providing an example of a situation (your prior position, for example) in which you demonstrated a task that required accuracy, honesty, etc. the action you took, and the result, you would help the interviewer envision your actions in the role.
