Remember to include the roles you have experience working with in your answer (engineer, project manager, program manager, analyst, user interaction designer, etc.). "I was a senior analyst and a technical project manager in the enterprise applications group of an automotive company before moving to my current role as a product manager. I was responsible for coordinating the work of a cross-functional team of analysts, engineers, and testers. Additionally, we worked with a number of shared services groups including our architecture, database, release management, and support teams.
I transitioned into product management four years ago and serve as a product manager at my current company. We develop SaaS healthcare back-office solutions. I am responsible for a series of dashboard features that communicate high-level capacity, scheduling, budget, and billing data. I work with several cross-functional engineering teams on projects that touch on these features.
