"I am able to generate positive energy when working with my customer in a number of ways. First, I understand that work can be quite serious at times, but I strive to maintain a lighthearted spirit at work. I find most customers respond well to this. I incorporate laughter and jokes when appropriate, and I take the time to get to know my customers personally. These behaviors allow me to connect to my customers in other ways when the work we are faced with is daunting or stressful.
I also believe that it is important to offer positivity in an authentic and balanced way. I do not believe in asking customers to simply focus on the positive when we are in the middle of a conflict or stressful situation. Negative feelings are real and valid, so I make sure to show proper empathy and understanding first.
