Hydraulic systems are an integral part of the mechanics of a large aircraft because hydraulics control the movement of key pieces of equipment like landing gear, brakes, flaps, and other controls. Your interviewer will be looking to hear that you have a basic understanding of the standardized color coding of pressures and flows that has been established across all industries. Prior to your interview, hopefully you have a good working knowledge of the coding system that you can bring to Air New Zealand.
