"Ideally, I don't prefer studies related to animals. Plants are plants. People understand what they're signing up for, but the animals we test on didn't sign up for this, and they don't understand what's happening. Even though I can compartmentalize, I pride myself on my integrity. It still feels like my integrity is compromised on those occasions."
