Interviewers will have many qualified candidates for the position, and they want you to tell them why you are unique from the other candidates and the best choice to hire. Now is the time to sell yourself by summarizing your experience, education, and qualities that would benefit the company if they hired you. Review the job announcement and use keywords the organization used when advertising the qualities they are seeking. For example, suppose the job announcement says they are looking for a dedicated, driven virologist with 3 years of postdoctoral experience, project management, and strong interpersonal, critical thinking, and communication skills. In that case, you will use those specific keywords in your response.
