When an interviewer asks about your career goals, they want to see what professional goals you have set for yourself and if you see yourself with their organization in the future. It is costly to hire new employees, and the interviewer wants to know if your career goals include continued work with their company. Identifying your professional goals also shows the interviewer that you are driven, focused, and goal-oriented. Since the interviewer did not specify a time frame, you can answer with your short-term and long-term career goals.
