Knowing one's surroundings is an important part of getting a job. If someone is already well familiarized with the area, hiring managers may believe they will fit in quicker than if they got a job in a completely foreign place to them. The candidate should talk about their knowledge of the area and why they want to work there. If the candidate is not originally from the area, they should talk about what draws them to the area, and how they adapt to new places.
