As a newly qualified Band 5 nurse my understanding would be we would gain the support and essential skills for beginning while remaining in our competencies so we can gain our confidence. I also read the job description and some points I have identified are working in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team to deliver a high standard of nursing care to the children, young people, and their families on the unit while providing safe and effective clinical practice within both the unit and community settings. I understand that this ward is a generic ward which I am really interested in so I can gain a more well-rounded nursing experience for my skills.
