While I enjoy auditing as a whole, I enjoy internal auditing mostly because I love knowing that I can make a difference within an organization. I enjoy knowing I have helped a particular organization to maintain compliance with laws and regulations. I have helped it to mitigate both financial and operational risks and also helped it to improve its internal controls.

I enjoy internal auditing because it provides a broad perspective to an organization where I get to know the real purpose and function of the entity. Internal auditing offers a variety in daily tasks, builds a relationship with a large network of people, adds value to the business by providing the third line of defense towards an effective control environment, governance, and risk management.
