In my recent audit assignment, I discovered that the client was using manual accounting. I recommended to management that they purchase an accounting scanner which helps eliminate manual capturing of transactions through scanning of invoices and receipts. They could integrate it with the accounting software for allocation of transactions hence streamlining the accounting process.
