Do you feel that it is important to wear proper PPE on the job?

For your safety, proper PPE is required on the job when inspecting anything that presents a hazard to your health. Employers can be held liable if their employees do not wear the PPE that is provided to them. An employer will not want to hire someone that they feel would be a liability. You need to explain why PPE is important and why you will wear it when appropriate.

I feel wearing the proper PPE is part of the job. I feel it is no different from having the right boots for inspections of WUI properties or having the proper SPF on those sunny days. My employer does not want me to take unnecessary risks. It is my job when I show up to an inspection to be mentally, and physically prepared, having the proper personal protection equipment is part of the job.
