As a Distance Learning Specialist in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with students and families that come from different backgrounds and your interview will be looking to hear that you will be able to do this effectively. If you have had direct experience with students from culturally diverse backgrounds, talk about an example that displays your cultural sensitivity. You may want to use a story that highlights how you could adapt to the student's particular needs. If you haven't had any direct experience working with people from a diverse range of cultures, you can give the interviewer confidence by mentioning examples of your ability to be fair and consistent and sensitive. Be ready and willing to share any resources you use to continue to develop as an educator and ensure the content you teach is culturally responsive.
